Abstract

The objectives of the research are (1) To find out how the students' pronunciation skill before using guessing sound game. (2) To find out how the students' pronunciation skill afterusing guessing sound game. (3) To find out the significant effectiveness before and after using guessing sound game to improve students’ pronunciation skill at the tenth grade of SMKN 2 Nganjuk in the Academic Year of 2021/2022. This research is Quasi-Experimental with One-Group-Pretest-Postest design. The research was done at SMKN 2 Nganjuk for the Academic Year 2021/2022 by using population whole tenth grade, the sample used by the researcher in the tenth grade OTKP I that consists of 35 students. The technique of sampling is using purposive sampling. The collecting data in this research by using test. The technique of analysis data used to analyse the data in this research is Mean, standart deviastion and T test. Based on the results of the test scores, students showed an average pre-test score of 60,57 and post-test 83,28. For the t-count 2,441 and the t-table was 1,691, then tcount> ttable which means H0 is rejected and Ha be accepted. So "Guessing Sound Game is effective to Improve Students’ Pronunciation Skill at the Tenth Grade o SMKN 2 Nganjuk in the Academic Year 2021-2022”.
