Abstract

The objectives of the research are (1) To analyze the student’s speaking skill before taught by using Video Vlog. (2) To find out the student’s speaking skill after taught by using Video Vlog. (3) To describe the effectiveness of using Video Vlog in the student’s speaking skill at eight grade of SMPN 1 Baron in the academic year of 2021/2022. This research is Pre- Experimental with one group pre- test, post- test. The research was done at SMPN 1 Baron for the academic year 2021/2022, by using population whole eight grade, the sample used by the researcher in the class eight-D (VIIID) that consists of 32 students. The technique of sampling is using probably sampling. The collecting data in this research by using test. The technique of analysis data used to analyse the data in this research is Mean, standart deviastion and T test. Based on the results of the test scores, students showed an average pre-test score of 61.06 and post-test 75.96, for the t-count 2,453, while the t-table was 1,696, then t-count>t-table, which means Ho is rejected and Ha be accepted. So "there is a significant difference before and after using video vlog to improve students’ speaking skill at eight grade of SMPN 1 Baron in the academic year of 2021/2022.”.
