Abstract
The objectives of the research are (1) To find out the student’s reading comprehension of narrative text before using edmodo application (2) To analize the student’s reading comprehension of narrative text after using edmodo application (3) To describe the significant differences in the student’s reading comprehension of narrative text before and after using edmodo application at the eleventh grade of SMAN 3 Nganjuk in the academic year of 2021/2022. Reading comprehension is the ability to understand the text, analyze the meaning, get information, and interpret the content of the text. In this study, the researcher used the Edmodo application to teach student’s reading comprehension of narrative text at the eleventh grade of SMAN 3 Nganjuk in the academic year of 2021/2022. Edmodo application is in the form of LMS (Learning Management System) which is suitable for use in welcoming the 21st era of education. This research is Pre-Experimental with one group pre-test post-test. The research was done in SMAN 3 Nganjuk in the academic year of 2021/2022, by using the population whole class XI with the total 345 students, the sample used by the researcher is the class XI-IPS 1 that consists of 33 students. The technique of sampling is using purposive sampling. The collecting data in this research by using documentation and test. The technique of analysis data used to analyze the data in this research is statistical analysis data t-test. Based on the result of the test, the students show the score - average pre test 67,18 and post test 83,12. Based on the results of analysis level significance in distribution percentage 5% is 32, value of is 1,694 and value of is 11,71. It can be concluded as follow: so, is accepted and is rejected. It can be conclude that “there is any significant differences between before and after using edmodo application in student’s reading comprehension of narrative text at the eleventh grade of SMAN 3 Nganjuk in the academic year of 2021/2022.” The use of Edmodo application in student’s reading comprehension of narrative text shows very good criteria. It means that student’s reading comprehension with the Edmodo application increases. So, it can be conclude that the Edmodo application is very effective to use in student’s reading comprehension of narrative text.
