Abstract

The purpose of research is (1) to find out students’ writing skill in narrative text before taught by using The Power of Two Method (2) to find out students’ writing skill in narrative text after taught by using The Power of Two Method, and (3) To find out the effectiveness of using the power of two method between before and after in student’s writing skill on process writing narrative text in the eight grade. The methodology of research is pre experimental design. The research was done in MTs Darunnajah Sawahan in academic year of 2018/2019 by using the population whole class VIII with the total 63students, while the samples is used by the researchers in the class VIII-A by number of class is 29 students. In completing the research, the researcher used pre experimental took one class pre test and post test as the instruments of collecting data. The technique of analysis data used to analyze the data in this research is statistical analysis data t-tes. Based one the results of the test. Student show the score – average pre test 69,10 and post test 75,68 for the experimental class the category is good. Based on the results of analysis level significance in d.b 5% is 28 by the value table is 2,04841 and the value of t-test is 14,95. It can be concluded as follow: t-test > t-table so, that Ha has been accepted and Ho has been rejected. So that “there is any effectiveness of using the power of two method to teach student’s writing skill in writing narrative text in the eighth grade of MTs Darunnajah Sawahan in the Academic Year of 2018/2019”. There is any differences between student’s writing skill before and after being taught by using the power of two method in the eighth grade of MTs Darunnajah Sawahan in the Academic Year of 2018/2019. So, the power of two method is effective to teaching student’s writing skill in narrative text in the eighth grade of MTs Darunnajah Sawahan in the Academic Year of 2018/2019.
