Abstract

The purpose of research is (1) To find out the students’ vocabulary achievement before taught by personal vocabulary notes, (2) To find out the students’ vocabulary achievement after taught by Personal Vocabulary Notes (3) To find out the significance of the students’ vocabulary achievement before and after taught using Personal Vocabulary Notes technique at the eighth grade of Mts Darunnajah Sawahan in the academic year of 2018/2019 The methodology of this research is experimental with one group pre-test and post-test. The research was done in Mts Darunnajah Sawahan in the academic year of 2018/2019 by using population of whole class VIII 62 students, while the sample used by the research is the class VIII-B by number of class is 33 students. The technique of sampling. The collecting data used test and observtion. The class of VIII-B as the experimental class and the technique of data analysis used analyze the data in this research is statistical analysis data t-test. Based on the result of the test, students show the pre-test average score 69,84 and post test 76,06. From the data analysis the value of t0 = 24,83 and ttable 5% = 2,03693. It canbe seen if t0> t (1-α). It means that t0 is higher than t (1-α). As the result that Ha has been accepted and Ho has been rejected. Sot that “there is the effective from using personal vocabulary notes to teach student’s vocabulary at the eighth grade of MTs Darunajah Sawahan n the acdemic year of 2018/2019”
