Abstract

The objectives of the research are (1) to find out improve students' vocabulary before using chunking technique for tenth grade of MIPA 2 at the SMA Negeri 1 Rejoso in the academic year of 2020/2021, (2) to find out improve students' vocabulary after using chunking technique for tenth grade of MIPA 2 at the SMA Negeri 1 Rejoso in the academic year of 2020/2021, and (3) to know whether there are differences achievement the students‟ vocabulary scores before and after using chunking technique for tenth grade of MIPA 2 at the SMA Negeri 1 Rejoso in the academic year of 2020/2021. The research is Quasi- Experimental with one group pre-test and post test. The research was done in SMA Negeri 1 Rejoso academic year of 2020/2021, by using the population whole class X the total 351 students, the sample used by the writeris class X MIPA 2 that consist of 28 students. The technique os sampling is used purposive sampling. The collecting data in this research by using test. The technique of analysis data used to analyze the data in this research is statistical analysis data t-test. Based on the result of the test, students show the score average pre test 61,14 and post-test 79,6. The category is good. Based on the results of analysis level significant in T-count 11,492 that is greater than T-table 1,703. It can be concluded as follow : T-count > T-table so, Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. So that, “There is significant effectiveness before and after being taugh using Chunking Technique to Improving Student‟s Vocabulary for Tenth Grade of MIPA 2 at SMA Negeri 1 Rejoso in the academic year of 2020/2021.”
