Abstract

The purpose of this study is 1) to determine the effectiveness of learning outcomes to write short narrative texts using video learning media for tenth graders at Baburohmah Islamic Vocational School in 2020/2021 2) to hone each student's imagination creativity 3) to determine the effectiveness in retrieving data post-test and pre-test This research is a pre-experimental research design that refers more to a research control class, in a control class the researcher conducted a study with a population of eighteen tenth grade students at Baburohmah Mojosari Islamic Vocational School in 2020/2021. The author used a pro-test and a pre-test to check the effectiveness of the study. Students' writing skills before being taught by using Video Learning researchers foundThe result of t-test is greater than t- table whe re t-count > t-table, to be precise 5.554 > 1.740 at 17 degrees of freedom with a significant level of 5%. That is, the research hypothesis is accepted that teaching writing at SMK Islam Baburrohmah Mojosari is effective and very beneficial for teachers to use The Video Learning in teaching English. The results showed that using video learning media was very effective in writing short narrative texts by tenth graders at Baburahmah Mojosari Islamic Vocational School in 2020/2021.
