Abstract

The objective of this research to measure the effectiveness of students who taught speaking recount text by using Youtube video before and after gave a treatment. The researcher using pre-test and post-test to take data. This research used quantitative method and pre-experimental design by taking one classes, which there are 31 students in class. The data analysis which used to count the score in this research was t-test formula. The result of calculating showed that the average pre test was 77,2 and post test was 82,06. The result showed that t value was 5,014 and t table was 2,042 with significance level 0,05. Based on analysis, the t value > t table (5,014 > 2,042). It means that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. So, it can be concluded that speaking recount text by using Youtube treatment video is effective.
