Abstract
This research aim was 1. To find out the students’ vocabulary of X grade students SMA Negeri 1 Rejoso in the academic year of 2021-2022 before taught by using BMP Method, 2. To find out the students’ vocabulary of X grade students SMA Negeri 1 Rejoso in the academic year of 2021-2022 after taught by using BMP Method, 3. To find out the significant different of BMP method to the X grade students SMA Negeri 1 Rejoso in the acdemic year of 2021-2022. Vocabulary is the one of the English components which has to be mastered and acquired by students in learning a new language. In this study, I used BMP methode for teaching vocabulary to the tenth grades students of SMAN 1 Rejoso. BMP method mean Brainstorm Mapping Practice. This method consists of Brainstorm activity and Mapping word. This method allows students to think freely, create idea, and learn to work with a team. This research design uses a quantitative approach and the type of research is Pre -Experimental. The designs used in this research are pre test and post test (One group pre test post test). The population of this research is all tenth grades students of SMA Negeri 1 Rejoso for the academic year 2021/2022. The samples used were students of tenth Mipa 4. Sampling using simple random sampling technique. The data analysis technique used to analyze the data in this study was the statistical t-test data analysis. Based on test scores. Students get an average pre-test score of 57 and an average post-test score of 73.3. Based on the results of the analysis, it is known that the significant level is 5% for Df = 32, the value of tcount = 7.4 and ttable = 1.694, then tcount >ttable which means Ha is accepted. So " There is a significant difference before and after taught by using BMP method on student learning outcomes in the vocabulary of 10th grades at SMAN 1 Rejoso in the Academic Year of 2021/2022." The use of BMP Method as media to improve students’ vocabulary achievement is also able to make students interested and motivated in learning process. The activity can make them more interested. So, the use of BMP Method as media is very effective in improving students’ vocabulary achievement
