Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the students listening skills of grade Vlll students of SMP N 2 Rejoso, to find out the students motivation on learning english of grade Vlll students of SMP N 2 Rejoso, and to find out the correlation of learning motivation on listening skill of grade Vlll students of SMP N 2 Rejoso. This research is an experimental research. The place used in this study is SMP negeri 2 Rejoso in 2020/2021. The research population was 56 students of class VIII-A and VIII-B, while the sample used in this study was 56 students of class VIII-A and VIII-B. The data collection technique used multiple choice question as many as 15 questions and complete the sentence as many as 15 questions. The data analysis technique in this research is statistical data correlation. Based on the result of the test score, score corelation is -0.229. So " there are no correlation significant motivation and listening comprehension children in students of SMP Negeri 2 Rejoso grade VIII in 2020/2021
