Abstract
Some students’ attitudes toward learning English assume as a “difficult” subject. Sometimes they feel lazy to learn English because a lot of vocabularies to be memorized and feel difficult to say certain words. This research aimed at investigate the correlation between the students’ attitude toward learning English and their English achievement. To achieve this purpose, the researcher used correlational design with the sample 43 strudent X-7. The result of the students’ attitude will become variable X. For variable Y, the researcher took from the mid term test. After that, the researcher calculated the correlation coefficient (r) by using The correlation coefficient (r) was 0,9960. The result showed that there is very high correlation and positive correlation between students’ attitude (variable X) and students’ English achievement (variable Y) based on the interpretation of correlation. From the result, the researcher concluded that there is correlation between the students’ attitude towards their English achievement.
